In line with the State of Colorado, we’ve adopted the following goals to “Green the Banks” by 2012:
20% reduction in energy use
20% reduction in paper use
10% reduction in water consumption
25% reduction in courier fleet fuel consumption
(Reduction targets are measured against baseline year 2006.)
More specifically one of our largest ongoing endeavors is to improve the environmental performance of each of our banks. With 38 physical locations across Western and Southwestern Colorado, we compile statistics and aim for year over year reductions in our annual energy and resource usage. We believe this substantial commitment and our ongoing passion for resource efficient banks can set an example for action and stewardship within our communities.
