Alpine Banks of Colorado can trace its roots back to 1973 when Alpine Bank, Carbondale first opened for business. This bank opened with a total of four employees including officers! At the end of the first year of operation, the bank had grown to over $3 million in total assets and had five employees.
Now, 34 years later, Alpine Banks have expanded to 32 locations on Colorado's scenic Western Slope. Our four employees have grown to over 500 and our assets to over $1 billion!
During our 30 year history, our ownership and Board of Directors have remained stable and virtually unchanged. Our success can be directly attributed to outstanding employees who are able to deliver superior service to our customers. We have succeeded because we have placed the customer first and have not forgotten our humble beginnings.
Alpine's greatest strength is the longevity and commitment of its top management team. Turnover at the management level is extremely rare and the banking group considers its management personnel among the finest in the industry. Virtually all management members have completed three year courses in graduate schools of banking as well as availing themselves of numerous educational opportunities. Several are also involved in key leadership positions in the banking industry.
The banks have maintained a philosophy of hiring highly motivated, recent college graduates for their Management Trainee program. We look for college graduates; 3.0+ GPA; and willing to relocate to the Western Slope. After completion of a one year Training Program, the trainees, along with other staff members who exhibit exceptional abilities, are then promoted from within to fill new management openings as they become available.
Alpine Bank offers many benefits including home purchase assistance, wellness/personal development programs, saved interest computer loans, performance based bonus programs, health insurance, dental coverage, life insurance, paid holidays, vacations, employee stock ownership, mentoring program, ongoing educational assistance and a philosophy of promotion from within.
If you are a highly motivated, college graduate, 3.0+ GPA, with a wish to be working in one of our beautiful mountain communities, please send your resume to: Alpine Bank, Human Resources, 50891 Highway 6, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 or FAX (970) 945-8019.
