Banking in Fort Collins: Why Alpine Bank is Your Best Choice

Alpine Bank Fort Collins, CO

Alpine Bank Opens New Branch in Fort Collins

The new Alpine Bank Fort Collins is coming out of the ground now, at the southeast corner of Prospect Road and 1608 S. College Avenue. It’s anticipated to open in fourth quarter 2022. Ben Van Hoose, president, is already working in Fort Collins, and helping customers with loans and deposit accounts even as the bank branch is under construction.

Ben, a native of New Castle, has been with Alpine Bank for 17 years. A majority of his career was in Mesa County at the Clifton branch, but Ben is no stranger to northern Colorado — he attended college at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.

“Expanding our brand to Fort Collins and northern Colorado has been the accomplishment I’m most proud of in my career. I am extremely proud of our bank and the work that we do for our community,” says Ben. “I’m even more proud that I get to bring this great company to the Fort Collins community.”

Alpine Bank’s Commitment to Community

Ben explains the meaning behind Alpine identifying as a community bank. “We value the places that we live, work, and play in, and we feel it’s our responsibility to give back to our communities,” he says. “Whether it be financial support through our Loyalty Debit Card program, or volunteering our time to causes we value, you will always see Alpine Bank in and around the community.” In fact, Ben already serves on the board of CASA of Larimer County.

“While we have actively supported our Western Slope communities for nearly 50 years, we have only recently had a Front Range presence,” says Ben. “I’m excited to see our brand grow and expand and I’m excited that people will have the chance to experience what it’s like to bank at Alpine. I’m happy I get to lead that charge in northern Colorado.”

Bank President Shares Philosophy and Interests

Alpine Bank has five foundational values, and Loyalty is one of them. “Loyalty resonates the most strongly with me,” says Ben. “We’ve stood by our customers in good times and bad, and have remained consistent in our mission for the last 50 years. Most community banks were absorbed by big banks in that time, but Alpine has remained independent, and loyal to its customers and employees the entire time.”

As for Ben’s banking philosophy, he maintains that banking doesn’t have to be boring. “I love to watch small business grow and flourish. It brings me happiness to meet with nonprofits in the community and see the great work they’re doing to make the places we live better.”

Ben and his wife and children have set roots in Tinmath, where they enjoy the outdoors together. “We enjoy mountain biking and love to ride new trails,” he says. “I golf very poorly, and also enjoy playing pickle ball.”
