Meet Josie Worrall!

Josie is a bank officer at Alpine Bank Durango. She’s a Colorado native and has lived in Durango for 19 years. She’s also a proud Skyhawk; after graduating from Fort Lewis College in 2019 she applied and was accepted into the officer training program at Alpine Bank. 

Josie is passionate about giving back to her community and volunteering. Organizations that are important to her are Manna, Turtle Lake Refuge and the Herb Hut, to name a few.

“All of the values at Alpine Bank resonate with me in different ways. However, I’ve been thinking a lot about integrity with oneself and to others,” she says. “I believe it’s paramount to have integrity with one’s actions and thoughts, so that we can be there for others in an honest way and serve others without doubt. Keeping our values close allows us to maneuver the world with integrity while not losing sight of our own heart.”

Meet Mike Burns!

Mike Burns serves as regional president of the San Juan Region of Alpine Bank. He’s lived in Durango for 16 years, and has been an employee-owner at Alpine Bank for 24 years. As an active community member, Mike has served on several nonprofit boards over the past 16 years and is currently a Fort Lewis College Foundation board director, in addition to being a member of the High Noon Rotary Club.

Meet Daniel Wiggins!

Daniel is the assistant VP and lender specializing in commercial and industrial loans at Alpine Bank Durango. He’s lived in Durango for 12 years and became an employee-owner at the bank in 2020.  Daniel believes in giving back to the community; organizations that are important to him are the Women’s Resource Center and the Durango Independent Film Festival.

“Independence,” he says. “Without independence we wouldn’t be free to give back to the communities we serve and live in.”

Meet Kyle Vanbrunschot!

Kyle is a bank officer and lender at Alpine Bank Durango. A Colorado native, Kyle moved to Durango to attend Fort Lewis College and after graduation he applied and was accepted into the officer trainee program at Alpine Bank. Community is important to Kyle, he enjoys any opportunity to volunteer and help others.

Meet Ryan Shannon!

Ryan is a bank officer and lender at Alpine Bank Durango. He moved to Durango in 2019 to join the Alpine Bank team and he’s passionate about the community he lives in. He currently serves on the San Juan Mountain Association board; other organizations that are important to him are Trout Unlimited, iAm Music, Manna and the Durango Art Center.

Community. It means a lot to me to be involved and to help with local initiatives to improve our community through the organizations and resources in Durango that prioritize giving back locally,” he says. “I believe this community focus makes Durango a special place to call home. There are many passionate people in Durango who make a big difference in the lives of so many others.”

Meet Laura Shelton!

Laura is a senior VP at Alpine Bank Durango. She’s been a community member for 27 years, and became an employee-owner at the bank in 2007 when she joined the Durango team. Laura is a proud Fort Lewis College alumna and is passionate about volunteering in her community. She currently serves on the boards of the Boys and Girls Club of La Plata County and the Durango Derailers.

Meet Eric Eicher!

Eric Eicher is president of Alpine Bank Durango and has been an employee-owner at the bank for 23 years. A Colorado native, Eric has lived in Durango for the past 16 years and is a proud alumni of Fort Lewis College.

He’s an active community member and has served on several boards including the Boys and Girls Club of La Plata County, the finance advisory committee for Durango School District 9-R, La Plata Family Centers Coalition and the Economic Development Alliance financial advisory committee.

Meet Jimmy Spaly!

Alpine Bank Durango welcomes new mortgage lender Jimmy Spaly to its team. He recently relocated to southwest Colorado from Chicago, where he served as Vice President of Commercial Real Estate for Inland Bank & Trust.

Jimmy earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business in Washington, D.C. He brings six years’ lending and banking experience to Alpine Bank.

“I’m gratified to continue my career with Alpine Bank,” he says. “It’s a great place to work with its community orientation and longstanding presence.”

Meet Jennifer Boykin!

Jennifer Boykin has a five-year tenure with Alpine Bank as a mortgage lender. She’s passionate about helping people achieve their dream of homeownership. 

Jennifer has lived in southwest Colorado since 2007 and volunteers with many community organizations. She’s especially active with HomesFund and the Home Builders Association. Animal rescue and veterans’ support nonprofits are also areas of interest and volunteer support for Jennifer.
