Founder Bob Young opened Alpine Bank's first branch here in Carbondale in 1973. As Carbondale has grown into an outdoor mecca--where active lifestyles, the arts and agriculture converge—Alpine Bank has always been there supporting local efforts that help make this one of the best places in Colorado!

The town of Carbondale is a hub for hiking, biking, boating, fishing, skiing and more. Its dynamic arts community is a state-certified Creative District, hosting art shows and cultural events, creating a unique ARTway, staging an annual sculpture competition, all while producing its popular Mountain Fair each July. The area is a center of traditional ranching, along with innovative organic farming and agritourism.
