Accessing Wire Services

Access your Wire services by taking the following steps:

  1. Log in to business online banking by clicking Login from the top right of any page on alpinebank.com.

  2. Enter your username and password and select Sign In.

  3. From the menu options on the left side, select Wires from the Payments dropdown.

Creating a Domestic Wire

  1. From the Wire screen, select Create wire.
  1. Enter the Wire name (this is for your records and does not appear on the wire transaction), select the Account to be debited for the wire, and enter the Amount of the wire.

    NOTE: to store this information as a template for future use, place a check mark next to Save as template. 
  1. Select Add creditor and complete the Creditor details (the account of the individual/company receiving the wire) and the Creditor agent (the bank that holds the account receiving the wire) sections. Select Save.

    NOTE: the Instructed Agent section may be completed when a domestic wire needs to go through an intermediary bank.
  1. Verify the information on the Create wire screen and select Create wire. 
  1. You will receive a confirmation message once your wire has been created successfully.

    NOTE: you will still need to initiate the wire to send it.
  1. Your new wire will be listed on the Wire screen in a Ready status.

Creating an International USD Wire

  1. From the Wire screen, select Create wire.
  1. Enter the Wire name (this is for your records and does not appear on the wire transaction), select the Account to be debited for the wire, and enter the Amount of the wire.

    NOTE: to store this information as a template for future use, place a check mark next to Save as template.
  1. Select Add creditor and then select International. Complete the Creditor details (the account of the individual/company receiving the wire), the Creditor agent (the bank that holds the account receiving the wire), and the Instructed agent (the intermediary bank) sections. Select Save. 
  1. Verify the information on the Create wire screen and select Create wire. 
  1. You will receive a confirmation message once your wire has been created successfully.

    NOTE: you will still need to initiate the wire to send it.
  1. Your new wire will be listed on the Wire screen in a Ready status.

Initiating a Wire Transfer

  1. To initiate a one-time wire transfer, select it from the list on the Wire screen and then select Initiate. 
  1. Select the Frequency for the wire and then select Initiate. 
  1. To initiate a wire template, select Templates from the Wire screen and then select the template from the list and select Initiate. 
  1. Select the Frequency for the wire and then select Initiate.

    NOTE: If you are set up with Dual Approval for wire transfer requests, one user must create the wire and transmit the wire for approval. The wire will be placed in an approval status, and a second user will need to approve and transmit the wire.

    NOTE: Wires must be transmitted by 2:00 PM MT on a business day* or they will be processed the following business day.

Approving a Wire Transfer

  1. To approve a one-time wire transfer, select it from the list on the Wire screen and then select Initiate.

  2. Review then select Initiate.

    NOTE: If you are set up with Dual Approval for wire transfer requests, one user must create the wire and transmit the wire for approval. The wire will be placed in an approval status, and a second user will need to approve and transmit the wire.

*Online wires are intended for business customers only, require additional agreements, and are subject to underwriting and approval. Wire processing is subject to bank business days: Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, and cut-off time requirements. Certain transaction fees and limitations apply.
